As a gift for one of my birthdays, my parents set me up with a fantastic candle making kit... Since then I have enjoyed making my own unique candles, using various different scents and colours...
For the candles above I have used three different fragrances, which remind me of 'Summer'...

I am currently in the process of setting up an etsy shop, selling some of our favourite 'daffodils & snowdrops' handcrafted items... So it would be great to hear your thoughts on our handmade candles... please leave a comment below...
I love this idea of candles in crockery - fab idea :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Katie, its good to know you like the idea! I love little cups and jugs from secondhand shops the best... They make unique candles...
ReplyDeleteThe candles are great x
ReplyDeleteThanks, glad you like them!! Hopefully we can get some in our shop when it is ready...
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and clever idea, to capture the scents of 'Summer'. The little cups are gorgeous, thank you so much for sharing them in the gallery this month!
ReplyDeleteLove Julia x x x
Thank you Julia... Was lovely to take part in your gallery!
ReplyDeleteHow fantastic Em, I love the idea of re-using jugs and tea cups - and the scents sound so summery! That snail is so amazing - sitting amongst all the gilt!
ReplyDeleteHope you make some more!
Ali
These are just wonderful. And I particularly love the second candle - the vanilla one. That little cup makes me think of a summer's day in Greece!
ReplyDeleteHi ali, thanks for your comment! Glad you like them... I will definitely be making more... Watch this space...
ReplyDeleteThank you for your comment Rainy Day Crafter... Its great to hear such positive comments... I think that is my favorite too!
ReplyDeleteThese are lovely - what a good idea. I love the way that everybody has come up with different creations.
ReplyDeleteThese teacup candles are very popular still aren't they? I love it when the scent of the candle is somehow reflected in the pattern, the colour of the cups - like you have lavender in the blue edged mini cup... lavender blue, dilly dilly.

Thanks for your comment Maggie, yeah they are quite popular... It is a nice idea to reflect the design of the tea cup, with the colour or scent...
